Featuring an ultralightweight build, an oversized head shape, and heel-biased weighting, the MAX-D Lite is designed to help slow-to-moderate swing speed players launch it high, maximize distance, and correct the unwanted slice.
MOI, or "moment of inertia", is the term the golf industry uses to measure a club's stability and forgiveness. When a mishit occurs, the club head rotates around the ball, causing the face to twist open and push a shot offline. The higher the MOI, the more stable the club is, and the more resistant it is to twisting at impact. Cobra's OPTM family of metalwoods and hybrids is the first to optimize the club head for POI, or "product of inertia." While MOI measures stability in both horizontal and vertical directions, POI measures stability diagonally. By optimizing both MOI and POI using advanced supercomputing to strategically position weight in the head, OPTM delivers dramatically increased stability and forgiveness. Cobra's testing backs that claim, with OPTM producing a 23% tighter dispersion, meaning significantly straighter and longer mishits.
